I used to spend my lunch hour sitting in his classroom, eating burger's from Hardee's and listening to good ol' GH tell his Around the World stories, or his stories of Atwood and making homemade fire crackers ("M-80's") Ever hear the one of the M-80 in the water cooler? OMG! Great stuff! Or the Creepy Church?! Man, I miss that dude.
Used to call me Mr. A+. Sorry to those of you whom I might have blown the curve on ;)but I kept him on stories all week and we missed a few tests, too, LOL!
GH, if you ever happen to see this, Double Trouble says HI !!
I hear you were at one of our weddings?!

Hey, I know no one has really used this community in ages, but. . .
Does anyone have any old GH quotes they wrote down (or new ones that don't have to do with how horrid our HL class was)? I'm making a cool tote bag for college, and I was going to put some old quotes on it.
Don't worry, John, I plan to put the one about you putting your hands down Leslie's shirt on it. It's funny how even today, I remember exactly what idea we discussed in class that story went with. Which then reminds me of the song "The Soldiering Life" by The Decemberists.
Anywho, can anybody help me out with that please? Current Mood: creative

I really enjoyed the reprise of the presidential discussion in the notebook.
We should really do that more often.
Yay for discussions of cripples, rapists, angstiness, STDs, orgies, and jackasses!
Mmm. . . cripples. . . Current Mood: amused

Just thought I'd add my two cents of GH quotes from this week.
"America is just such a pansy society"
"We're walking under our own artillery fire"
"People just aren't that important, because there are more of them where they come from"
"England talks this talk, but doesn't walk the walk"
"Digo le te es" ~ "Tell it like it is" - GH's Spanish teacher

This community is devoted to all of our favorite European History teacher, Gary Harden. A man who has told stories, showed us slideshows, taught us valuable life lessons, and also a little history along the way.
In this space will go musings on history, quotes from our idol, complaints about him (treason!), pyrotechnics, and anything else on a relatable subject.
Now let the fun begin.
